My daughter has entered the kicking off for everything phase haha She is saying no a lot and waving her hands at us to push things/us away. She completly refuses her high chair now and only wants to sit on our laps to eat. Anybody else going through this?

I did with my son and I bought one of those little kiddy table and chairs - he loved it..not sure if that could help?

We bought her a little chair but she hates to sit in it.. 😩😩

Maybe eat beside her that might help

I’m going through the same thing but I’m learning to stand my ground. My daughter will refuse her high chair and I will put the food on the counter and tell her she can’t eat unless she’s on her high chair. She cries and throws her body around but eventually she gets on the high chair herself and then I serve her food. Toddlers like to test authority so just stand your ground and don’t be phased by the tantrum. The more attention you give to it the longer it will be

we always eat together as a family..we sit together at the table normally but she has just gone off the high chair completely

I might need to start doing that.. she is deffo testing authorities right now haha

Hang in there mama!! You got this!!!!

My son is 2.5 now, but starting around 18 months we had a booster seat so he could sit at the table with us. Now he’s big enough to sit in a normal chair

When she was little, my daugther ate next to me standing up at the counter. She liked being up on the big step ladder and I like to eat standing at the counter anyway. So, aside from making sure she didn't accidentally fall, it was actually less work since I was going to wipe down the counter anyway. If there is no lap to sit in, your girl will figure something out. A booster seat is a good option for her to join you at the table. They also have the kind of chairs that clip onto the table, so she's not in a separate high chair.

Yes we made it through it though
