I had a planned csection in April after an emergency one in August 22 😊 really positive experience. Easier recovery, super calm day, wasn't already exhausted from a failed induction. 24 hours in hospital, probably should have stayed another night but the ward was sooo hot and I just wanted to get home!

I had a planned csection in April after an emergency one in November 22. The recovery was a lot better and faster because I hadn't been in labour for over 24 hours. It was calm and relaxing and I knew what to expect after the emergency one. I was uo and aviation after 4 days resting, day 6 i was out seeing toddler to athletics. I took it easy and was careful to not overdo it and was back to my usual self by 4 to 5 weeks. Overall great experience. X

My first baby was emergency almost 15 years ago now .. my second planned in 2012 and my third and fourth was planned .. in 2023 and 2024 .. all positive experience and each planned was much quicker healing and much more positive of a experience xx

My emergency csection was 18 years ago. My epidural failed during my csection. I'm so traumatized. But I did have two planned csections, one in 2019 and the last in 2024. The planned ones go much more smoothly than emergency ones. Even my last one which had to be moved up 4 days because I went into labor 😅 Little stinker was anxious to come out I guess. Having a spinal block made me calm enough to do it...I would have flipped out if they tried to give me another epidural, I can tell you that.

My first was an emergency c-section. I’ve now had 3 planned since then. The difference is night and day. The emergency one was very traumatic and ended with a NICU baby. Other 3 have all gotten smoother each time.

Yup exactly the same reason for me too. My girld are 21 months apart so i got pregnant at 13m PP.
First was EMCS after a full labour and pushing. I also hemoraged after she was out as well. Due to this i wanted baby no.2 to be an ELCS and everything was perfectly fine and went really well. Albeit more nervous this time around as previous trauma and leaving toddler at home for surgery etc, lots of morbid thoughts which is normal.
My recovery was worse this time though and slowet and my scar more troublesome but im 19m PP now and perfectly fine 😊.

To note: I was told all future babies would now have to be C sections as my uterus is pretty thin now. (But im 2 and through and husband has been snipped already haha)
It was a good thing I chose ELCS as i was told I would have been high chance of rupture in a VBAC due to the thinning 😳 so that was a relief!
