My son goes nursery and 1 of the days they do wraps and another they do pitta. He is 11 months old.
I feel he will struggle to eat them. Any ideas what to fill them with please? Trying to avoid fake meat as processed and high salt.
I thought maybe black beans or lentils but not sure how how he will manage to eat them
Thank you

Maybe a base of hummus and some crumbled falafel and some chopped spinach for added iron too? The hummus should act as a sticky base so hopefully if the wraps do fall apart buba will be able to pick things out because it’ll be stuck to the hummus. Could maybe add some cucumber sticks to them and again if the wrap opens baby will still get to pick out the bits. Wraps do seem strange though

Not sure I understand, do you have to provide the food for nursery?

yeah I'm not convinced about wraps or pittas to be honest. Maybe for older baby but I dunno. Thanks for suggestion though

yeah the nursery will provide but it's just trying to think of a filling that vegan

refried black beans (like a paste) with vegan cheese
Hummus and spinach

I make lentil tacos for my little ones (youngest is almost 15 months) and have served these for a while. I mash avocado onto the wrap and then lentils. Helps the to 'stick'. Then I just fold the wrap in half and cut. Holds together quite well, but if they open up (my kids open them anyway) it's ok as everything is kind of stuck to the wrap 😊
