Im a FTM and I plan on taking either 1 small case or 1 big bag for both of us and my other half will bring a rucksack with his stuff in. After speaking to my sister and friends who have had children I think most people pack far too much and it ends up just taking up space! I think social media has some play in it tbh! X

I took a small suitcase before & I ended up having an emergency c section & couldn’t physically open the case or place it anywhere. I’ll be taking a bag this time that I can balance on the bed if needs be
yeah I was thinking a small case and a bag too! Thank you!
ahh I get that! That’s what I’m half keeping in mind I want it to be accessible! Just in case. thank you! X

When I had my LG few years ago I packed two bags. One for me and one for her. I found it easier to find things. My husband obviously carried everything for me, but if I was on my own, I'd definitely have a small suitcase.

I took a big suitcase for my first and it was good as I was in 4 days. I was told to pack for 3 days minimum so I took a whole suitcase and then ended up using everything x

i took a small suitcase for myself and a small hold-all for baby, it was a lot easier having my things separate to the baby stuff x

In my pregnancy yoga class they were advising 3 bags : 1 for before labour with things to keep you busy when waiting, phone chager, snacks etc 2. a bag for the baby and 3 a bag for you after labour. Most hospitals don't have much space so this way, you take the first bag in with you and when the baby arrives, someone can take put that bag in the car and bring the other two in as you would be moving rooms anyway

How many weeks can you do your bags.. im 23 weeks on Sunday

@Rosie I am starting to collect stuff already for mine as I am preterm labour risk and have already been to the hospital a couple of times - admitted for an emergency procedure once, so I feel it's better to be prepared early than not - I am 24 weeks

Aww im 23 weeks on Sunday with a little girl.. what are u having

We just took the changing bag for the baby, & an overnight duffel bag for me.
We then had a small tote bag in the car with back up extras - more nappies, more undies & pads for me, extra set of PJ’s, more snacks etc. which we needed a bit of as I stayed 2 nights after birth. But I’m glad I didn’t take it all in right away as it was too much to rummage through, even with organiser bags!
