Breastfeeding and nursery?

How do mums cope with breastfeeding while baby is in nursery. My baby will be 16 months in September and she's going to be going nursery 2 days a week.
She's exclusively breastfed, won't take milk from anything but me (we've tried everything)
I'm just curious because she still very much feeds on demand basically every 2 hours. And I don't know what to do when she goes nursery

Hey, I totally understand how you're feeling, I went through the same thing when my little one started nursery at 9 months. He refused milk during the day at first and, to be honest, went without it completely while at nursery for the first few weeks. It was tough, but he would make up for it with big feeds as soon as we got home.

Gradually, he became more interested in the solid meals they offered, which helped ease the transition. Eventually, he settled into a rhythm of having breast milk just before and after nursery. When he turned one, I introduced cow’s milk, and that’s now the only milk he’ll take in a sippy cup, so if your little one enjoys it too, you could ask the nursery to offer her some as well.

It really does get easier with time. Hang in there, you’re doing an amazing job. 💛

She’ll adapt, is the short answer! If you’re worried you could try cutting out one of the feeds during the day so it’s not as big a transition for her, but I didn’t do that with my son and he’s fine! I send him with a straw cup and milk but tbh he didn’t drink much for the first few weeks. He just fed when he got home! Now he’s taking 60-200ml expressed milk a day at nursery and feeds lots at home. He just adapted! Also, when I’m not there, he’s not as fussy about milk.

Hello, completely understand how you’re feeling ❤️❤️ my little girl was exactly the same. When she started nursery, she just started having 2 feeds in the morning, a feed when she got home and a feed before bed. She was absolutely fine without milk during the day. Try not to worry ❤️ I wish I hadn’t worried so much. They’re old enough now to not need the milk during the day, but when they’re with us, they want it because we are their comfort ❤️ x

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
