BabyBjörn bouncer, is it worth it?

I’m considering purchasing the babybjorn bouncer to get things done round the house as baby doesn’t like the electric swing much. I’ve read reviews and some have said little ones seem uncomfortable in cheaper alternatives. Any honest advice or reviews on this?

I love mine! My sister has tried the cheaper alternatives and didn’t like them at all compared to the bjorn. It’s my baby’s favorite item!

we had the redkite one and no issues she loved it right up until 12 months when she outgrew it and now she’s got another one from smiths that goes up to 40lbs and was only £60 which i thought was expensive but seeing this wow😮 i can’t comment personally on this bouncer but my baby was fine in her cheap one, also these type of bouncers i always think look uncomfy anyways as baby is completely upright if that makes sense. if you’re set on this one though id try vinted/fb marketplace first as £185 is steep for a bouncer especially if it’s just to get jobs done around the house as you’ll only get a few months use until they’re on the move and don’t want to be in it as often x

We got one but second hand. As it seemed better to spend less on it in case the baby didn’t like it. It’s been. Very useful but still not sure it’s worth the (full) price but definitely worth it second hand!

Do you know anyone that has one that you could try? We got one my oldest baby loved it and still does at 3 😂 second baby hated it would not use it at all. I would try it out with your baby first if that’s a possibility incase they end up hating it.

Love loved it, so did my little one. Keep decent value aswell if you want to sell it on after. Or grab one second hand, along with the toy bar. And defo a dark colour.

My baby liked his! I got it second hand on vinted for about £70 including the toy bar x

My girl loved hers but my MIL bought it for us x

Have a look at the ErgoBaby bouncer, I went for this one instead as was more newborn friendly and is ever so slightly cheaper x

It’s the one thing I say u couldn’t live without!

There are also other cheaper versions too. Baby Delight on Amazon is similar

We love ours. Little one has always been happy to use it. Material is nice and washes well.
I think I got it on sale, but it still wouldn't have been cheap. I don't regret spending the money on it at all

I got a red kite one that was 25 quid and it's been absolutely great for her. We've just had to stop using it because she started sitting up and could tip it forward or come out of it by leaning out of it too far when she got bigger. I definitely wouldn't pay nearly £200 for a little bouncer like that.

I got mine secondhand. It was very worth it. I would put my kids in it while I pumped or when they needed to poop.

Baby delight is basically the same thing but cheaper so Id give it a try first

100% this was a must for my little boy. If you look around you can buy them cheaper, I think we got ours of the nursery store.

I have one, idk your baby sags into the middle and I think it’s too tight on my daughters vagina

Avatar

We had one and little one loved it! I picked it up on Facebook marketplace for £20.

We got second hand. Used it both babies. Both loved it

The mamas and papas one looks pretty similar to this and is £99. My son loved it and we will be using again for our 2nd!

Me personally, I wouldn’t buy a bouncer for this much just because they won’t be in it for too long, second hand or a discount price then maybe, but I used a cheap one and it was completely fine as he wasn’t in it a lot and he would do tummy time and laying on the play mat or something as well and I also had a chair which helped with his sitting up, my boy started rolling at 4 months and sat up by 6 months so at most it would maybe last till they roll over and that depends on the child, but once they are moving/rolling they will want to be constantly moving and trying to roll out of it x

Seconding baby delight!

That's what we have and I use it everyday. It let's me eat and work in the kitchen with two hands.

Only reasonable complaint I've seen is that the toy bar/toys are too high. But I have just used my own hanging toys with it and LO loves it.

The seat machine washes fine but I recommend putting the seat cover back on wet and air drying otherwise it could shrink and be near impossible to get back on (it's tight on there to start)

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism
