Speech delay

My LO babbles a lot and says the odd word but isn’t exactly speaking yet. He understands a lot, recognises songs, books etc. a lot of people have told me not to worry. Naturally as a mum you do, but I think it’ll come in its own time

How old is ur baby?

Sometimes its just nature that speech is delayed nothing youve done. He’ll get there

Can you please explain what you mean by speech delay? Ftm over here and have no idea when it is a speech delay? How many words are they supposed to say? Should they put words together?

my little boy says “mum” and babbles in his “own baby language” lots, he occasionally repeats sounds/words said to him - but those aren’t counted as “proper words” as he’s not initiating them himself. So really he only has one word (mum).
He’s been slow with his gestures too x
