I’m going to Lanzarote in October, baby will be 6 months, I asked Tui and they said I don’t need a car seat (for the transfers) as it’s not a legal requirement.
Transfer is about 30 mins from airport to hotel. I won’t be using a car or taxis whilst I’m there I will be walking.
I just feel weird about not having her in a car seat on the transfer, not sure if it’s a coach or taxi transfer. Should I pay for private transfer?

I would pay for a private transfer and take a car seat personally.

We’ve never used a car seat on a coach transfer. I personally wouldn’t trust my car seat to not get bashed on the plane anyway. You don’t have car seats in taxis in this country. You could arrange a private transfer but there’s no guarantee they would provide a car seat either

We’ve travelled a lot with our son & never taken a car seat. We usually use public transport but some area of Lanzarote take a while by bus. I would first check if it’s a coach or car!
I will say, when we went to Lanzarote with a 4 month old, we booked an infant seat but what the company (can’t remember which company) provided was completely inappropriate for a baby… would be fine a toddler!
I recommend Hoppa in Lanzarote, we’ve had good experiences in the past in Lanzarote but also elsewhere, but do clarify the type of car seat x

is hoppa the make of the car seat? X

no sorry for being unclear, hoppa is the name of the private transfer company. They have a large presence in Lanzarote & are quite reasonable. We’ve used them elsewhere and got an appropriate car seat x

brilliant thank you! X
