Hi mamas!! I really want to set up a Montessori kitchen for my almost 2 year old so he can start learning to do little things himself but I’m scared he’s just going to play with the water and pull out all the plates and utensils. Part of me doesn’t think he’s ready yet :( any advice on when to start or how to know if your toddlers ready!?

Them not being "ready" is kind of the whole point 😂
Start small with one of each type of utensil and plate
And you have to let them explore a bit and play first to figure things out
Mine is under 2 and I let him help in the kitchen (real one) and he makes a mess, it's just part of learning
Right now he's excited and willing and I think that's really all you need
This mom set it up for her one year old and is a good reference

2 sounds like the perfect age! I'm commenting to follow this convo for future reference
