Had my midwife appointment yesterday and the baby was partially engaged. 4/5 palpable (I know that there's two ways of saying it) so yeah. 1/5 in the pelvis, 4/5 palpable.
First baby, so I read that they tend to stay engaged rather than bob out like subsequent babies.
Has anyone else had this? I also see stuff online that says it's no indicator of when the baby is likely to come, but others say within 4 weeks ..! Which would be at 35 weeks.
Just wondering if she will likely stay put for up to 9 weeks or whether it is a slight indicator that she'll come early?

My baby was in position from 27 weeks. She was born at 38 weeks

How did they even find that out? I had a scan last week (36 weeks) and they just said his head was in my pelvis … did they just give you that info ? Dam I should have asked

My 1st I was told her head was engaged 1st May and she came 4 weeks later 🤷♀️

Yeah I was told at 27 weeks that the baby is in position so I hope it's not coming out any time soon as I'm only 29+6 😅

Head engagement has nothing to do with when baby will come.
Mine was engaged fully like I could barely walk and managed to go transverse in week 39 😂😂😂😂
Babies will always come when their ready hun, just keep yourself distracted and occupied xx
