Scheduling for C-section

I am due Dec 31 too! My doctor said they won’t let me go past 38 weeks.

I'm due December 29th but decided I'm probably scheduling an elective C-section on the 22nd. I'll be 39 weeks. That's the earliest my OBgyn will schedule one.

I’m due December 2nd. I too have to schedule a c-section. It’ll be the 39th week also. 2 days before thanksgiving. I had a scheduled c-section prior to this one 7 years ago and it was scheduled for the 36/37th week. She was 6 lbs even.

I requested for the 22 but they told me that’s too soon for me :/

I'm also due Dec 31st. I don't really want a C-section, but I will if my Dr recommends it. I would rather try to do it naturally.

For first time mommies, how come you decided already on scheduling a c-section? Also due Dec 31, but haven’t had conversation about my birth plan with my doc yet 🙂 No judgment, just genuinely curious.

I have severe anxiety. Although C-section healing takes longer and can be more painful I would rather not worry about labor. I'm already having a rough pregnancy with severe morning sickness and pretty bad back pain. I'd feel more in control with something scheduled.

Why don't you do it a week later, maybe January 4th 2026
