Birthday Party Ideas 💡

Hello everyone! As my first son’s 4th birthday is approaching (in November), I’m starting to think it’s time to start putting on bigger and memorable birthday parties that he would love ❤️🎉

Curious, what do you usually spend for a kids birthday party? What have you done to make your kids birthday special? My son loves cars, construction vehicles, and the cars movie

If I could think back to what a party cost me all together. I think it would be around $500 at most...including food, decorations, presents. Now that our littles are getting older....to rent out a cool jumpy place in our neighborhood its about 350$ alone. So I think 500 is still a good price point? Hahhaa my little wants a butterfly party this year so I will try to make it as pretty as I can for her 😊

We usually stay around $100. Amazon has great decoration sets for $25-$30 and can be as elaborate as balloon arches and cutlery included for a theme then we have done burgers/dogs or finger sandwiches but recently we started to plan parties after lunch and just do snacks foods like cheese crackers meats and we Dino nuggets for our sons two-Rex party. My 3 year old loved his 3 and diggin it party.

Cartoon at Reception

My daughter started Reception this September, and it seems like they watch one or two cartoons every day. One is usually *Numberblocks*, but the other changes—sometimes it’s *Bluey*, sometimes *Zog*...I’m not too happy about this, but I don’t know if it’s common for schools to use cartoons for various reasons. I wouldn’t want to be the only mom complaining 😅

Mum guilt

Hey, I’m just posting because I’ve got horrendous mum guilt. I have a 3 year old and now a 3 month old. Prior to having my baby, I was out with 3 year old all the time, always busy. That’s obviously not been the case since having baby. We still do go out but I feel like it isn’t as often. Am I just being harsh on myself? I just find it so overwhelming at the minute but don’t want my toddler to feel like the bar has dropped!

Weaning

Hi everyone! My little boy is 8 and half months old, we have been trying to wean him since 6 months but he is still not that interested, he doesn’t like purées as he won’t open his mouth for a spoon, and if I give him the spoon he uses his other hand to scrap the food off. We are mainly doing BLW which he will happily put the food in his mouth, but if he gets any in his mouth, he will gag and spit it out. Anyone having anything similar? He is still having breastmilk as I know their nutrition all still comes from their milk until they are 1, I’m just worried he is taking a long time to grasp the concept of swallowing food

Partners mobile and odd behaviour.

My partner changed his mobile phone number yesterday, which he told me about in the morning. He still has not given me his new number. Today whilst at the shops he refused to come in but after 20min of us shopping instead of sending or calling me to find out where we were, he came looking for us. Is this odd behaviour or what??
