How do I clean up after weaning?
Hey, this might sound silly, but how on earth are we cleaning up after our littles?!
I typically try to have my meals at the same time as him for normalcy, and watch him closely for safety ofc! But when he’s had enough, he’s had enough…that means I don’t have time to clean up the highchair or floor or table before taking him to the sink to wash off his hands.
I want to include more messy play as he’s 8 months, but what process of cleaning are we doing at this stage?
Are you cleaning your baby, moving them to a play pen and cleaning the highchair, table etc? HELPPP

I wash my girls hands, get her playing with some toys and crack on🙌🏻
For dinner I wet a towel swipe his hands his face and hubby grabs him off me ready for his bath. Then I’ll spray the high chair table use that same towel to wipe then I’ll go to the floor fold and wipe fold and wipe do a figure 8 back and forth on the floor as many times as I need to to grab everything then I go to the side door flick off the food then it goes into basket to wash. Wordy, but watching me to do it takes me a minute, I don’t use wipes to clean up after he’s eating I’ll have to use so many and it just smears stuff around whereas a wet towel actually picks it up and cleans properly. I bought a pack of 52 for $35 at Costco and I’m still using them 6yrs later. When I go out I bring smaller cloth wipes with me
Paper towels from Costco, Thousands of them! And wetwipes
I clean the tray of the highchair first just with a baby wipe so he can’t put his clean hands back in it, then use a baby wipe to wipe his face/arms/hands, pop him down to play and crack on with the high hair with spray and kitchen roll(the dog is also a huge help with any crumbs that get on the floor😂)
I clean as much as I can while she's on the highchair and keep her busy with a wipe or something, then when she was younger and really messy I didn't bother with wipes so she would go straight into the bath (foldable baby one) which I could have near me so I could clean up while she was in the bath. Nowadays she walks around and plays for a bit but I take a lot less time to clean up cause she's not as messy.
I also have everything placed strategically to make it easier: antibacterial wipes in the basket under her highchair, a packaway washing up bowl ready with hot soapy water for the dishes so food doesn't crust on and it makes it a lot easier to wash later, bath at the ready etc
I just wipe her down with a wet cloth then put her with her toys and clean up everything else. Or my husband cleans up while I do bath time.
