Ladies with stitches !! (⚠️ TW: TMI !)

I had an episiotomy and was pooping by day 2, its still uncomfortable at times when I go and definitely feels tender afterwards. I think its gonna be like that until at least fully healed

that’s exactly the same for me !! I pooped very soon after but im still sore when i go it’s so frustrating

I’m 3 weeks PP and my stitches feel so much better. The first week/10 days were rough and really struggled going to the toilet, sitting down and even walking. I would advise taking paracetamol, ibuprofen, keeping the area clean and taking lactoluse to help going to the toilet. It does get better 🫶🏽

They gave me lactolose after forceps and episiotomy in my first labour, don't think I could have gone without! If they didn't give you any, contact your GP or pharmacy, it makes a big difference.

Heyy I tore internally and straight down, it took me 4 days to go the toliet and it was painful.
I spoke to my midwife on my day 5 check and she said it sounds like I had haemorrhoids which are very common!
Maybe have a look at the symptoms, you can get medication off Amazon prime or over the counter xx
