Any tips for giving Calpol to a feisty 1yo? She just clamps her mouth shut or wriggles and screams so much that half of it ends up dribbling down her face.
Feels so mean upsetting her with it when she's already feeling ill 😭

We have the same problem. I've ended up spiking his milk bottle with it! He's on formula so it's easier...but some brands do like...tiny bottles pre made. So we now squirt the medicine into that and he has it as a "treat"! Also if I absolutely have to I do the duck face move... squeeze his little cheeks to make his mouth a duck shape and squirt the meds down the side of his cheek. I hate it so much but I remind myself he'll feel better for it soon!

I put it in a bottle teet and he sucks it through there!! X

I put it in a wee plastic cup and she just drinks it

I do little bits and put a dummy in after each bit so she swallows

Try making it a fun game or pretending to have some yourself. Im very lucky that my boy will open his mouth when I say "medicine time" and even take the syringe off me and try sucking it when it's empty. My sister had suggested a bottle teat if making it a game failed
Great suggestions, thank you all!

We give our lb ibruprofen instead as he haaaaaates calpol, the brufen is orange flavoured which makes the difference
