Moving from Bassinet to Seat?

Anyone else thinking of moving their baby from the bassinet to the seat attachment?

Our bassinet says “up to 9kg / 6 months” but our little girl is about 6.5kg and 3 months and is already starting to look squished in there (her arms touching the sides and irritating her in her sleep!)

I have the Nuna Mixx Next, so the seat attachment is newborn friendly anyway, because it’s completely lie-flat if needed.

What are people’s thoughts?

We changed ours to the seat at about 8/9 weeks as he wasn't settled in the bassinet anymore wanted to look around and he was getting too big! Just make sure you have it on the lie flat option 😊 We sometimes have it next click up so it's like a bouncer angle but he's much more settled!!

Yeh we've just changed ours as have a very long girly, she is 12 weeks next week and much happier since the change!

Random question but what car seat do you have? I'm really unhappy with my nuna one and apparently other types are compatible. Do you have nuna or something different?

Awww our baby girl is called Beatrice ❤️
I have a Nuna Mixx Next pram and I use the Cybex Cloud T car seat (it came with adapters to attach to the pram, but honestly I haven’t used them very often, I find it easier to just transfer in and out!) Just bare in mind that car seat usually only lasts until they’re about 18 months because it’s an infant carrier… We’re looking to get the Axkid Minikid as our next one, which is fixed in the car, but has excellent safety ratings and reviews!

Aw love that! Thank you for your reply. Yeah I'm in two minds what to do but I'm nervous to go in the car anywhere over half an hour ATM. I've contacted nuna and they have provided some tips but tbh his chin is still down on his chest. I have a Joie spin I can try first to see if it's better

My son is 10 weeks and I am wondering the same. He seems to still enjoy lying down and doesn’t complain, although almost touching the top. The seat attachment feels a bit exposed for me at the moment, I’m going to wait a couple more weeks. I tried him in it once, and he didn’t like having the straps on him, needs a bit of practice 😅

I moved mine this week. She’s 13 weeks. I only did it because she loves looking around. She has to see EVERYTHING. And she was started to fuss for me to pick her up more often. Having her in the seat allows her to see way more and she’s happier. I also have the Mixx Next.

We’ve also just moved him (14 weeks) in our travel pram - he was literally touching both ends (feet and head) at the same time. But he is very long and already in 6-9 month clothes. Will keep him in the other bassinet as long as he is happy in it, but it’s also getting quite squishy! He is barely in it anyway as he prefers the baby carrier.

I hated the infant carrier that was part of our silver cross travel system for the same reason, chin always pushed down and just never looked comfy! We bought the joie spin when my now 3 year old was 4 weeks old and it was soo much better. For this baby we only used the infant carrier for the journey home from hospital and have used the joie spin since. Just make sure you recline it all the way x

And to answer the original post sorry 😂I am going to use the bassinet as long as possible but that’s cos this is my last baby and I am not prepared to accept we don’t need the pram anymore 😭😭 I’m sure with my 1st he was in the chair by now but my little girl still has room and is still happy in there so I’m in no hurry to change x

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
