so i just need to know if im wrong from a mom standpoint honestly
i am in a relationship with a man that is not the father of my child he has been with me since i was pregnant with my baby and for almost 8 months has played a big part of his life . i told my son’s biological dad months ago that I had his child at first he decided he didn’t want to step up so i left it alone because my baby is happy and i dont need the drama! then recently he said he wanted to be in his sons life i said okay but i wanted to see how much effort he would put in which has been barely any , he doesnt call my son has never seen him in person and hes only given me 80 dollars for whatever he needs . Today his mother calls me and i dont pick up unknown numbers but she leaves a voicemail . in the voicemail she sounds hostile so i tell my boyfriend i dont wanna talk to her and i dont know what she wants . i text her asking what she needs and shes demanding i call her so my boyfriend calls her to see what she needs and right off the bat shes rude to him saying im immature and that he needs to stay out of our business mind you this is my first ever encounter with her . i am heated at this point and i text her telling her she was very rude and he couldve answered any question you had because hes been here and knows more about the baby than her son . she tries to make it seem lik ive been hiding the baby and “if” its her grandchild she demands that she be in his life . i leave it alone for now but am i trippin i never gave my childs father permission to give out my number sorry this is long .
thank you for your time

1st thing is I would meet the mom in a public place without the baby explain all the situation and explain if she wants a paternity test that’s fine but her son has made it clear he doesn’t want to be involved. If she’s insisting about seeing the child then I would only grant it under supervision if daddy wants to be involved you need to put him on child support it’s not bitter for you to hold him responsible for the kid but at the end of the day if you don’t want her around you can say no. If you don’t wanna deal with her don’t put your foot down and tell her to kick rocks and her son said he didn’t want the kid so she needs to speak to him about why she doesn’t have a relationship with the kid because I bet he told her that your keeping the kid away and not letting him see the child

Two things can be true at the same time. YOU DONT OWE HER ANYTHING. Df come correct or don’t talk to me period. She approached this situation completely wrong. BUT if you are choosing to entertain the bd and his family you shouldn’t have had your man call her. While that is your man and he’s more of a father than the actual father (🤏🏿🤏🏿🤏🏿 lol), he’s still technically a third party. Just my 2 cents

Hi, I don't know your personal relationship with him in the past, but since you never met his mother, I'd assume it wasn't long. Therefore, you got pregnant for 9 months and had the baby for 8 months now and she never cared to know you or the baby. That's almost a year and a half. Her acting, entitled most rudely, for your first encounter with her, no matter what she heard from her son, says a lot about her character. At the end of the day, she's a mother, she should know better. She knows her son, let's be real. Why didn't she ask about you for a year and a half? During the pregnancy and 8 months ago? Yeah, Seeing her grandchild is a privelage. relationship. Secondly, it sounds like you found a good man, a special man, protect everyone's peace including your babies by distancing the drama if it continues. Your bd needs to be put on child support no matter what he says or promises. His track record for fulfilling his promises is not good, clearly, and he's inconsistent.

I truly need friends to talk, vent and chat with whether it be text call or FaceTime I feel so alone even though I have people around me and my partner isn’t really being a partner in this time

Lost friends since being a mum

Good morning! Can anyone relate to this!

My two friends and me have always been close since our early teens. I’m the first to have a baby.

One friend has big house, career and boyfriend

Other out of a long term relationship and being single having fun etc

Before baby we would all hang at my
Apartment, chat eat and just have
Fun.

Now I don’t even get a text to ask how my baby is, how I am. I really thought they would be awesome aunties. But honestly they don’t care.

They meet up a lot to do cool things, which I can’t be upset about as I can’t as I have my baby.

I don’t know I feel sad about it.

Am I over reacting?

Advice

Ok so I had this friend and she would always talk about how it was so embarrassing to post your face on tinder or any kind of dating/friendship platform because it makes you look desperate. This has stuck with me soo much over the years, I always post anonymously. I really want a friend just 1 friend that I can go out n do stuff with and we just click but I refuse to post my face on any friendship platform, also because I might see someone I know and I literally HATE the idea of that. I feel so stuck, because I’m not the type of person to go out a lot I go to work and come home and when I do go out to parks and stuff there’s literally never any moms that try to strike up conversation. I really wanna get on bumble bff to try it out but it makes it to where you have to post your face. PLEASEEE any advice would help. I get bumble bff go through the people and then I delete it within like 5 minutes because I see someone I know.
