What do you guys do with your little ones in the mornings before preschool or heading out? My LO will often ask for the tv to go on, and I was trying to think of other things to do rather than too much tv. I'm currently pregnant with my second and when I was feeling really unwell we did have the tv on more than usual and honestly the mum guilt is making me feel awful.
LO loves to play and be involved in lots of things, we go out on days when not at preschool and play together but I just feel so guilty when the tv is on!

We usually don’t have time to do much as my girl doesn’t wake early, but when we have a few minutes before time to leave we read books. Sometimes we play a game but usually we won’t have time to finish so she doesn’t want to leave. Coloring, or Lego as well.

I have a 5 year old, just turned 3 year old and currently pregnant, we have the school run for oldest at 8:30am all up around 7am...Options in our house are
1. work with mum to prepare breakfast
2. a pre set up open ended activity like trains, magnat tiles, etc. Which i just put together after tidying up at night time or the children pick and we set it up together always before bed
3. look at/read books.

Honestly use that TV and don’t feel guilty! My second is 6 months old now and eldest just turned 3. Your energy comes back as soon as baby is here. But for now whilst pregnant you need to rest.
We don’t have much time before nursery, he gets up at 8, i change babies nappy, get toddler dressed and we go! 😅 x

He has TV for 5-10 minutes whilst on the potty and I get my breakfast. Then he sometimes plays with his toys for five minutes as he hates nursery and likes to procrastinate. Then we go to the park and walk the dog or sometimes he asks to go in the playground but we always have a timer on as we have to leave the dog outside the playground. To be honest the dog hates it so she is a bit of a timer herself. But we have a lot of nursery refusal from the start and have tried a lot of different techniques to get him to go. We can't force him anymore because he is too big and I can't pin him down and put the car seat belt on him because he kicks me so hard. But he might be s special case as he has been refer to have an autism assessment and really struggles at nursery with the noise and people. The only way we could get him in the car willingly is if we go to the park first....we now walk the dog at the same time to save time....
