Hiya
I’m wondering if any others are experiencing the same.
My 8 month old has not really been drinking her milk. She’s exclusively breastfed and has rejected the bottle from about 3 months old. I tried the ‘ride the wave’ but it’s been weeks maybe a month. It started gradually but she will only be on the boob for about 2 maybe 3 mins sometimes. At times it’s before my let down has come. I try to relatch her but she really fights it.
Any ideas if this is normal/ advice what to try? I’ve tried a quiet calm environment etc. not giving solids before but none of it makes a difference and I’m super frustrated/sad now🥺

My 8 month old is the same and so was my eldest son. My youngest has been since she’s become aware she exists. I have a fast let down, sometimes she’s only on the boob for a minute or so. Babies get very efficient at draining your boobs so the time definitely decreases as they get older. I’d say as long as she’s following her curve, gaining weight and developing as you’d expect I wouldn’t worry. If you are worried about weight ect contact your health visitor or local lactation consultant for advice ❤️

Hey since weaning my feeds have gone down dramatically during the day! The morning feed is longest and she has a great feed from both sides. Then throughout the day each day varies but I think it’s down to food! I kind of see it now as a drink rather than a feed as she’s not really jnto water yet. Is your baby eating well? She also does get very distracted by what’s going on around her too!
