So my daughter is 4 and attended the preschool I worked at, over the last 6+ months, she has been bullied. This little boy constantly hit her and pushed her around, I talked to my daughter about telling a teacher, telling him she doesn’t like when he does that. Well, nothing had been resolved. So last week she told me (along with other teachers) he hit her in the face really hard. I then told her to hit him back since he isn’t listening to her words. All in all, I got fired for telling her to do so. Would you do the same after so many months of your child coming home saying the same child hit yours or was I in the wrong?

First of all fuck them for firing you, That’s not fair. Hitting is usually normal for kids who get hit. Dosnt make it okay but it was a parenting issue for the boy so either the school failed to inform them or they just failed to teach him better. As a mom if my school told me my son was putting his hands on other kids I would do everything in my power to stop it. Including keeping him home, teaching him to use his words etc. I don’t think you did anything wrong it came to a point where she has to defend herself. What are you supposed to do continue to tell her to tell him to use his words while she’s getting smacked 😑 hell no. Hitting is violent and wrong but if you have to defend yourself wtf ?

That’s self defense. They should’ve done something to make the boy stop. I think it’s important that we teach our kids to defend themselves if nothing else is working. He messed around and found out lol I hope he learned his lesson and this makes him not pick on any other kids
