Am I wrong for not wanting to Celebrate 10 year anniversary?

Long story short I found out in April of this year that my husband was cheating on me with 3 different woman last year, we’ve been going to therapy to work things out ( which I feel is not working because at this point I want to say fuck everything take our child and move tf away ) anyway I had to fly out to go get our son from my moms and I booked the tickets around our anniversary date, it was with Frontier and the flight schedule was flying out on certain days so I was going to be in California on the anniversary date which I didn’t care because hell what is there to celebrate right ?! I mean not happy, everything we planned on doing for our 10th year we not doing. So when I come back home we didn’t say much to each other I’m guessing because we both were in our feelings about the whole anniversary thing. So tonight he finally wants to talk about it and this the text he sent me, is he in denial or was I wrong for feeling how I felt ?

I honestly think this is his way to make you feel in the wrong, sorry but how did you find out, did he tell you? Otherwise I don't actually believe he does lobe you as he would be grovelling and scheduling things realising he'd made a mistake. I just cutting through the nonsense. I honestly don't think the success of trying to forgive someone who isn't wanting to give them their absolute all to build trust. 'Love'word is meaningless, actions need to meet.

He is gaslighting you into forgiving him at his time because he feels guilty.

Gaslighting manipulation into trying to convince you to be happy you have “anything/anyone” blatantly. 10 years of “trying” doesn’t include cheating or him trying not to cheat, doesn’t make him a good guy or a supportive husband

I wouldn’t want to celebrate an anniversary with someone who cheated on me multiple times with multiple women either. For me that would be unforgivable.

Gaslighting!!!!! Sorry I don’t mean to be rude but why are you with someone who has cheated on you THREE times. Sorry I’ve never been through it to understand why you made such a decision but surely you know you’re worth much much more than someone doing that and then gaslighting you because YOU don’t want to celebrate with a cheat.

I hope you see your worth someday.

I wouldnt even say I was with that person anymore, I dont understand why women or men do this to themselves and wonder why they just keep cheating...

Right we are in therapy, which I think the only thing is doing is helping realize the behavior issue at hand but I’m a stay at home and I don’t have the means and really don’t have the support to just leave. I’m currently looking for a job so that I can start getting my ducks in a row where I can get my place and car, finding a job around your kids school is not easy especially AI taking over everything, so I’m just stuck until I figure what to do and how to move.

he gave his old phone to our son and I went through it and recovered all deleted text messages because his iCloud was still sync to the phone and google photos

If you aren’t leaving you might as well go celebrate your marriage

It’s so brave of you to share this and regardless of what we think, we really shouldn’t judge unless we are right there in your shoes. As someone who has been in a terrible marriage and finally left, trust me it took longer than it should for me to leave. Not just because I didn’t want to but so many things to consider especially when kids are involved. Is it hard staying? YES! Is it hard leaving? YES! Either way it sucks and comes with a price.
What I can tell you for free is this: do not give in to the manipulation, the moment you learn to block him off and focus on what you need to do and on yourself, the better for your own mental health. Decide on how you want to live while still with him and treat everything else as just noise.

I don’t think what said was inappropriate. Isn’t it good to gather different opinions?
Personally, I would never stay with a man like that. I would rather struggle alone, than suffer in a marriage. But OP has not left, and some women would actually go and celebrate whatever they have left of a marriage, and try to focus on those points since they are still together.

Avatar

I’m not staying because Im not ready to leave trust me if I had enough money and support to start over I would’ve been left, I have my son to think about I can’t just up leave and have no plan and no where to go and no way to provide for him, like I said I’m playing it cool until I get my ducks in a row and then I’m bouncing.

Feeding

My son is coming up to five months and I just started giving him oatmeal and rice cereal. When can you start trying veggies or fruits? I only give him the oatmeal or rice cereal once a day right now which is what the paediatrician had said to do. I’m just curious to when anybody tried anything else with their kids cause my son eats a lot of formula and he’s VERY curious when I eat.

Is it bad of me to think this or no?

My husband has been abroad for work (1 day and exploring for 1 day) for 2 and a half days which means I’ve had both kids (1 year and 4 year old) for 2 and a half days plus cooking, cleaning, taking them to clubs, bedtimes!
He came home late afternoon and said I’m so tired, I just need to chill. I said can you wash up whilst I sort kids dinner out, he said he’ll do it later which means he won’t do it and I’ll end up doing it so I said no do it now please otherwise I’ll end up doing it and he said well you have been home and I’ve been away so you’ve just been relaxing.
Don’t know what planet he is on but having the kids alone for 2.5 days is not relaxing. I was stressed!

When he was away, I did miss him and wanted him to come back but now he’s back, I want him to go away again😂
Is that bad?

Really bothered by this

A friend posted this and it really bothers me because that is exactly how she parents her kid, and it's rather unfortunate because when our kids hang out together, her kid has a meltdown at least 5x within an hour. We have know them for years and it's only gotten worse. My kids will concede to hers, because they don't want to see their friend crying, but it sucks because they give up so much of their toys and enjoyment to keep the peace. We aren't hanging out as much anymore but it's rather sad to think she doesn't intervene more in her child tantrums and just let's it slide

Is this normal

Let’s say you’re at a softplay with your 2 year old, and some friends & their toddlers.
You buy your 2 year old a kids meal - chicken nuggets, beans, and chips. They’re very happy with it and have almost eaten it all.
They’re sat at the table, fork in hand, consistently eating, and have one chicken nugget left.
Your adult friend comes over from behind you, picks up the last chicken nugget, and eats it.
There was no indication that your child wasn’t going to eat it, and they didn’t ask. They just took it with no warning and ate it right in front of you and your toddler.
How you reacting?

Are these men ok?

I get so sad seeing all the posts on here daily about women dealing with partners who are treating them horribly. I know it seems over represented because those of us with great partners don’t need to write posts asking for help, but I really hope most of us don’t have these kinds of men in our lives!

I tell my husband about these posts I see sometimes and he’s even shocked by some of the things these guys say/do.

Nobody’s perfect, and every relationship takes work. And becoming parents is a stress test unlike any other for sure, but seeing how many women get stuck in these relationships with men who aren’t interested in being better is so so sad😞

But is/was your partner helpful, loving, and supportive during your pregnancy/PP/etc? Was he a wonderful person but changed for the worst after becoming a parent? Has he put effort into becoming the partner you need him to be, even if he struggles?

Pouches

I’m not one of those mums who stand in the kitchen making every meal from scratch and batches of healthy snacks as I simply do not have time with other children and soon back to a full time job, but I do try give my weaning baby part of what we eat at meal times and will throw something healthy together if what we eat isn’t suitable. However, I do have some pouches in for convenience or a last resort. I’ve only used these a few times in the space of two months but she absolutely LOVES them. She will scream for more, get excited when she sees the pouch and will literally eat the whole thing. She’s underweight so this is massive for me seeing her eat so well, but the guilt is getting to me a bit! Anybody else like a little pouch every now and then and can make me feel a little better about giving her them😅
