What are you packing in your hospital bag for an elective c section??
I had an emergency c section with my son and I’m now having an elective with my next baby, so I’m unsure what are essentials I need to pack..
I know I want loads of snacks and drinks for afterwards because I’ll be unable to eat beforehand 😅 but what are essentials that you’re packing or have packed previously..
Any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated 😊😊

Just wanting to follow this as we maybe having an elective if my son hasn’t turned head down & I have already packed in prep for a natural - so no idea if things are different 😅

The usual really except pack big knickers that go above your scar and a nightie instead of pjs as you’ll have a catheter in for a bit and it’s just comfier! Also a dressing gown and slippers to wear for the trip to the operating room Xx

Following I have an elective c section

Following as also having an elective CS.

Also not what you asked but if you have a next to me cot attached to your bed maybe sleep on the other side - otherwise you’ll have to get in the other side or the bottom and it’s not easy !

I’ve heard we should take soft bags instead of small suitcases as easier to lift afterwards..but I’m not sure I’ll be lifting either.
I also read to take dried fruit for snacks to help with constipation which can be worse after c-section (?)

I had emergency last time, and have to have elective this time. This is what I’ve packed this time around.
