Ickle bubba travel system

We are looking at getting the ickle bubba travel system (stomp luxe) because the price is pretty unbeatable and have heard good things about the pram, but a lot of reviews say the car seat just isn’t safe? Has anyone had this or a different ickle bubba travel system and have any thoughts? Is it worth just paying a bit more or is it a good deal?

It’s a really fantastic pram and I’ve always been so pleased we chose it. However like you are considering, we opted to buy the pram and car seat separately. We still got a bundle that included everything but it just didn’t include the car seat. We got a Maxi Cosi one instead. I really don’t know what the facts are about the Ickle Bubba seat - presumably it’s been rigorously tested like all other car seats, but the pram shop staff recommended against it and that was enough for me!

thanks so much for your response! Can you still attach your car seat to the pram base? That was something my partner is particularly interested in if he’s nipping to shop with both the kids haha! Xx

yes! The bundle came with universal adapters which fit the Maxi Cosi pebble seat no problem.

I had the Stomp Luxe. It’s absolutely fine. Does the job. But can tell it’s cheap and very basic. The hood doesn’t come down far enough to fully stop the sun in baby’s face especially when you switch to the seated part from bassinet. The brake works well but starts to rattle after a short amount of time. If I could go back, I’d spent a little bit more and buy a different brand tbh. As you end up spending a lot more as you buy a different car seat separately.

The car seat isn’t recommended by any professional. They are only tested to the very minimum that they have to be to pass the standards.

thank you for this!!! Xx

We have the standard stomp and it’s perfect, a year one xx

do you feel like it’ll last or does it feel a bit cheapy? X

Ive had this travel system and the car seat was just SO heavy and I wish I’d known more about car seat safety sooner as I definitely would’ve gone with a different one for that reason.
The pram itself I still use for walks now. It does the job, doesn’t feel cheap in my opinion and liked the look of it more than some more expensive ones I’ve seen. I went for the brown handles. I liked the fact the pram handles height is also adjustable because I’m short. I also liked that the back wheels can pop off if needed too. X

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?
