Mine was an appointment first with the Dr, talking about the procedure, why they were recommending it, my alternative options, risks etc. as well as consenting. Then followed by a midwife who gave me the opportunity to ask further questions and did general things like bloods, MRSA screening, medications i would have to take on day of procedure before going to hospital. You may also have a chat about what to expect on the day, i.e. how it works, what to expect on the day and at what times, including what to expect in theatre, how will recovery will be etc. so it's a good opportunity to ask questions.

Mine was rubbish! A midwife did my bloods and told me everything would be okay. I was in and out within 10 minutes

MRSA screening is a couple of swabs. I think from memory one went in the nose and the other along bikini line.

I just got bloodwork and did urine at mine, but it was at the hospital so wait times were a bit long.
Thanks everyone! Just got back from mine. Had no blood work or anything done, they said I need to go back on Sunday for that. They just gave me meds to take the day before and told me the chances of something going wrong
