I was induced at 37 and 5 due to complications and my milk didn’t officially come in until 5 days after I gave birth. I had to latch to get it going and supplement with formula so he could eat.
Right now I’m 28 and 6 and just worried that I’ll be induced early again but I’m curious as to when my milk would come in if I actually make it to 40 weeks. I’ve heard stories of ladies getting their milk supply right before labor and would love to be able to maybe have a head start even though I know pumping can induce labor.

Had a spontaneous labor and delivery at 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant 😳
Yes, spontaneous
My milk came in at like 3 or 4 days post but they also had me pump while in the hospital to help my milk come in ( ended up having to combo feed also, but that's because he had really bad latch for the first few months

Day 3 for my milk. When baby was cluster feeding. I was 39 weeks and 2 days when I had to be induced after my water broke.

I don't think it matters when you go into labor. When I had my son at 40+5 it took 2-3 days which I understand to be pretty normal. Then when I lost a pregnancy at 24 weeks it took 2-3 days for my milk to come in which again I understand to be normal, and I wasn't latching a baby or pump. If your milk was delayed coming in I think it had nothing to do with when you went into labor

my milk came in 5 days after birth. didn’t give formula as colostrum is so nutrient rich

First one after I delivered , second one 39 weeks still no colostrum so I suppose it will be the same

I went into labor at 34 weeks, colostrum there a few hours after birth. Then milk 3 days, with pumping.

That makes sense. Yeah I had colostrum.
