My bub turned 9months last week and since then his feeding preference seems to have changed overnight. We would do spoon feed + finger food(blw which he would mostly just play with) but now he just doesnt want to be spoon fed. He no longer wants to eat some of the home made cereals that he used to like earlier, soups, etc. he takes up the finger food but most of it just gets thrown around, but he is showing clear preference to finger food. I am worried he isnt eating enough. He is also teething right now. Anyone else in similar situation?

My little one went off finger foods for atleast 2 weeks while he was waiting for his front teeth to push through properly , he kinda played with it too and wasn't eating much and like you said jt ended up on the floor but I always gave an option with lunch so I'd spoon feed and give him finger foods , he still plays with the first one but then I just lead it to his mouth and now he's using his pincer fingers to eat his finger foods now x

Their preferences change constantly. It’s the same with us, tastebuds are still developing. I wouldn’t worry about how much he’s eating as he’ll still be on milk and food is just for fun. Sometimes my boy will eat loads and other times I’m lucky if he’s even ingested a crumb. Just go with his flow and let him lead how/what he wants to eat x

My little one went off spoon foods for about a week when she really started taking to get into finger foods. We used to do main part of the meal was spoon based food and small amount of finger food so when she didn't want spoon I switched it around to majority finger foods and a small amount of spoon food which she refused most days and then she was fine again and now has a mix of whatever depending on what we're having and what I've batch cooked etc

No advice but I’m having the same problem 😕! LO just turned 9 months too.
