Moms I need help/advice/tips if anyone else has been dealing with this. My daughter is 11 months old, turning 1 year old on 12/13, and she’s not really eating solids when I give them to her. She shows definite interest in anything we’re eating, but when I serve anything to her she just flat out refuses. On the other hand though, she LOVES solid snacks like serenity brand and other brand puff snacks, and yogurt melts. But I’ve made her sweet potato pancakes, butternut squash orzo, pasta with tomato sauce, rice and beans, but she won’t eat it at all. I’m concerned at this point. Have any of your babies been going through the same thing? Anyone’s babies come out of this, and how did you do it?
Sincerely,
A concerned mommy

My son is 11 months, turns 12 months on 12/25 and I haven’t been able to get him to eat ANY solids. He has taken a couple bites of teething wafers and then spits it out. I feel your struggle and I hope you can get your little one to eat solids soon!

My baby was the same until 4 days ago - no joke. He turns 1 on 12/11. I was super worried but I just kept offering, then something just changed out of nowhere! He was the same with only eating smoothie melts…but now he’s eating yogurt, meat, veggies, rice, toast, etc. I also realized that he is not into purées at all. You’re doing everything right:)

My baby is also very not interested in food still and it is very depressing. The BLW group I am in on Facebook says it is normal for some babies and milk is still primary source of nutrition until 1 anyway. After 1 we are supposed to offer food first and then milk. My baby does love crunchy things like crackers and puffs. She also likes some veggies like zucchini, corn, and sweet potatoes. The daycare tells me she loves pizza and chicken nuggets and fries, too, but I have not tried these personally so Idk. 😅🤣

And don't give too much at one time so baby doesn't overstuff their mouth. I always makes sure she eats the few pieces I put on her tray before giving more.

My baby is great at eating foods but has started refusing the first bite. I have to trick him into eating then he’ll scarf the rest

Lol oh ok. My baby gets pissed if we put anything in her mouth. 😅🤣
