Hi ladies what are your experiences with pampers newborn nappies particularly on boys? I am finding that they leak almost every time I put one on my boy and I’ve got loads of packets 😫

Had the same problem and switched to Morrisons own brand and never had a problem with them 20 months on. (I’d bulk bought boxes of pampers in different sizes aswell whilst pregnant)😩

Depends on a baby and age... For the size 1 and 2 I used Tesco, they were absolutely brilliant! Size 3 - Aldi were the best. Size 4 - Lidl. And I used pampers now for the nights, they seem to be the most absorbent. They are similar to Peaches

Depends on baby, currently using pampers on my 2 year old who hasn’t shown signs of potty training quit yet . We just been taking our time but pampers didn’t work for hers either

Or well she leaks as well , mean while pull ups worked better at that age

Not sure how big your newborn is (mine was too big for newborn clothes and went straight to 0-3 months) but if vests or sleepsuits are too tight around the crotch it could be causing the leaks rather than the nappies themselves.

I’ve had the same issue, with both pampers newborn & 1.
My boy has a small body and so the newborn size fits him best but it doesn’t hold the amount of wee he produces and so they have leaked.
Size 1 holds the amount of wee but is too big, so we end up tightening and rolling the nappy down m, which then means the wee escapes through the leg holes.
I have now moved to
1. Sainsbury’s,
2. Tesco,
3. occasionally Aldi (due to access to a store near me).
Aldi size 1, sizing is better for a small fit though.

Never had any problems with pampers with both my boys

Mom to 2 boys. Tried all the major diaper brands. I am strictly Huggies on babies. All the way till about size 3. Then we explored other brands. Pampers diapers feel like paper. I wouldn’t put that on my skin so I never bought it to put it on my babies skin. The ones we had were gifted after a baby shower and I used them in a pinch. Blow outs and leaks. Every time. The rest went in the trash tbh.

Yup, pampers are rubbish! They leave my boy soaked but also have loads , just have to change him more often

I needed size 0 for my daughter and had no problems, switched to Fred and Flo from size 1 onwards as it was cheaper, no problems. Was given a pack of size 5s and they leaked not even an hour after being put on her so didn’t use again and stayed with Fred and Flo

Had this problem with my boy since he was born as he's over 98th percentile height but quite slim so the legs always have gaps! Recently switched to rascals from mamia and so far so good, especially for keeping blowouts in. I feel like nappies are just designed for really chunky babies

I’ve literally had the same issue with all nappies! Rascals have been the best for us so far still have occasional leaks but nothing like we were having with Aldi, Asda, Tesco and pampers.
Also sized up nappies and vest which seemed to of helped recently too

my son always leaked in pampers, i think the only time he’s ever leaked or had poo up his back was with them. i switched to little angels and they’ve been so much better with us, sold at asda x

Haven't had any issues. Are you making sure you get the little leg ruffles out?

I had the same issue and then i started putting the tabs lower down on the nappy (further away from the waistband) which makes the leg holes smaller and this stopped the leaks completely.

Huggies are better
