1 month mat leave
Hi guys
I am just curious if it realistic to plan to only take 2-4 weeks Mat leave ?

I personally don’t think it’s enough, I’ve had 2 children and my first I definitely wouldn’t have been able to back to work after that amount of time, your body take a while to recover
You have no idea right now what the birth will be like
Who will be watching your baby? Daycares won’t take them until 6-12 weeks. I started working at about 4 weeks but only part time. With my first i did 12 weeks before going full time and it was very hard
Ofc it's going to be different for everyone and you have to be logical. If money is a concern and you need to return to work, that may give you relief.
My opinion is that if there is any way you can stay off longer, do it. I rushed back after my first and it really impacted my mental health.
