Okay, this might be a dumb question. If you are a citizen of a country, but went born there, do you get a birth certificate from that country?
A little background: My husband was born in the US, but has El Salvadorian citizenship. We talked about getting my daughter El Salvadorian citizenship too, because we plan to visit a good bit, and maybe move there if things don’t get better here. I’m waiting on him to respond, but I was also curious about other peoples experiences who have gone through this process.

Generally you wouldn’t get a birth certificate if you aren’t born there. You get a “naturalization” certificate if you obtain it through immigration process whether that’s through family or else

It would be dual citizenship correct!

I'd say depends on the country, but majority of countries have citizenship by blood, not land. My British born daughter is automatically polish, cause I'm Polish. We got her Polish passport with no problems - lots of paperwork, but relatively straightforward process.
