Hey all! I’m new to the area and just found out I’m pregnant. I tried to sign up for care through mid and south Essex nhs foundation (Basildon, Braintree, Broomfield, Maldon and Southend) but they said I need to contact my local care provider. Any ideas who that would be as when I was searching it looked like it was them?!

Queens - romford. But you can go under Mid and South as I did. Its right to choose which everyone has.

2 years ago when I was in Brentwood it was either Queens or Basildon

Pick a hospital you want care to be based at

Depends where you live. I’m Brentwood and tried to get into Broomfield but there was no room. Ended up at Queens - and so pleased about that because despite the horrible stories, the maternity care I’ve received so far has been excellent.

I was rejected by Broomfield too with the same generic letter it sounds like - but was seen today by Basildon for early pregnancy care. Hoping that means they’ll end up taking me for antenatal and delivery but haven’t got a confirmation of that yet :/ what have you tried in the past 2 weeks?

I picked my hospital online, but decided on PAH instead of Broomfield or Queens
