I feel so clueless, my baby girl turned 6 months 3 weeks ago and I gave her broccoli, carrot, and potato… that’s it! all of which ends up on the floor, she doesn’t eat any of it, barely even makes it to her mouth.
I tired to feed her some strawberry yoghurt and even that she wouldn’t eat.
So I’ve given up! I don’t know what to give her, where to start, absolutely clueless!

It’s a good couple of months before they eat anything. It’s all so new to them you can’t expect them to suddenly know how to eat everything that’s put in front of them. Also all the new tastes and textures must be overwhelming for them. Just keep offering and they’ll get the hang of it.

I just give my baby whatever I’m eating so meatballs, pasta, garlic bread, some Christmas dinner etc

We just give a little (table spoon) of what we are eating on the tray and let them explore it. It’s all about exploring at this stage. Also weetabix and yogurt are good starts. Don’t be disheartened just like with anything they are learning, to sitting in the high chair, use their hands, bring their hands to their mouth, tasting, using tongue, chewing etc. speak to health visitor if you feel you need more support xx
Can be harder if left longer, but they may not be ready today and that’s also okay x
