Silly question

Sorry if this is silly, but when you aren’t holding baby is there a best alternative to put them in during awake times/ naps in day? I see all these nests/ pods but they aren’t even safe for sleep so I’m confused at what is best. I have a bouncer and a soft Mat with a mobile over it, do I need something else? Thanks so much

I had a moses basket downstairs and a swing seat for my second and will use that again when baby arrives. Also have a wrap if baby wouldnt settle

With my first I had a travel cot set up in the lounge for naps. This time I’ve got a next to me on wheels for downstairs so the baby can come along wherever we are easily

I used to just put my son into his crib upstairs and have the baby monitor on loud, I didn't buy any moses baskets or bouncers for him to nap in downstairs. He would either sleep on me or my partner or in his bed x

I used the carry cot bit of the pram last time with brakes on but I think there's 1 brand of nest that's recommended for sleep

I'd say it depends on your space, but generally I wouldn't buy too much as these things are pricey and most don't last for longer than 6 months.

We have a bouncer and a nest from our first, a couple of playmats I can put on the floor, and I used to sometimes leave her to sleep in the carrycot of the pram (just be mindful of overheating, remove layers if baby fell asleep during the walks). The nests are usually not recommended for overnight sleep, but are fine during the day as long as you are watching them (the risk is baby might turn their head and sort of tuck it into the soft bits, it isn't as flat as a safe mattress you use for night sleep).

I would get a comfy newborn safe carrier though, most likely baby will want to be close in the first months.

Moses basket in living room or just the pram bassinet

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

My little one is struggling with sleep

Hey! I'm in need of some advice please girls! My little boy is 20 months turns 21 months in 2 half weeks. He use to sleep through the night now he is waking up every single night in the early morning, I've had to transition him to a toodler bed as he kept climbing out his cot. Just need some advice on what I can do to help him get back in to a sleep pattern?

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
