I have a feeling I might be offered an induction next week due to multiple episodes of reduced movements.
Has anyone got any positive stories about their inductions?

Induced Saturday at 10pm, baby arrived Monday at 00:38am, did have to use forceps & have an episiotomy but I think that was due to having an epidural and not being able to feel anything when it came to pushing. Felt like a long time but not too bad overall!

Hey! I was induced for the same thing. midnight wednesday at 11:50pm and baby came the friday. I had the full 24 hours with the balloon as my body did not want to work with me which took me to Thursday 11:50pm! Waters burst at 2am on the Friday and I had the epidural about 3pm (i wish i had it sooner!) no instruments need or episiotomy. Baby came on his own with pushing!
He was a healthy 8lb little one and I was out the next morning 11am! x

Similar experience as Beki. I was induced on the Wednesday and he arrived on the Friday. Had an epidural, and episiotomy but that is because he turned transverse during labour, otherwise it would have been fine!

Everyone’s experiences will be different I’ve had 2 inductions- one was easy and quick second one took days

I’m told inductions are not any better (by my MIL who’s a retired midwife)
She suggested I ask for a scheduled cs rather than accepting induction because it usually doesn’t work and sometimes ends in cs anyway

I had a very successful induction! I had pessary , from insertion to baby coming it was 11 hours , epidural and gas and air. I was so anxious about the thought of an induction and almost opted for a c section (so glad I didn’t) my recovery was next to nothing. Don’t let horror stories put you off! Everyone is different.
