I’m 31 weeks pregnant and I’m so over this already. I’ve been getting restless sleep and waking up at the butt crack of dawn because I get this burning pain sensation on my hips and sides from sleeping on my sides for too long. Switching sides doesn’t help 😭😭 I’m just over it. With my first it wasn’t this bad till I hit 34w+ but this go around it seems like everything is just rougher on my body 🥲 I’m tempted to finally try the unisom to see if it will help my sleep, anyone who takes it that can tell me if it truly works?

I could have wrote this post myself. I've never slept to horrible in my life 😭
I tried the Unisom once and it made me sleep through the whole night but I felt like I got hit by a car when I woke up. Didn't make me feel like I slept at all and I was so tired the whole day

Same! Unisom takes about an hour to kick in for me, but definitely works

i haven’t tried unisom but i have been using magnesium glycinate. its worked really well at keeping me asleep because it works to relax your muscles. the only issue i had with it is that the serving size says 2 pills which made me sleep deeply through the night but i woke up in the morning feeling like i got absolutely no sleep, it was so exhausting. i went down to just one pill a night and it definitely works better for me, i dont have any side stomach or muscle pains and i only wake up once to pee at night

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one struggling! I keep telling myself I must be dramatic because it’s too early to be this miserable. I finally gave in to unisom this week but only if I can take it early enough in the evening because it does seem to make me a little groggy for 12-15 hours after taking it😩 I do magnesium glycinate as well as mentioned above but it wasn’t being as effective lately for me as it has in the past

Take half a unison to try it out. You should be able to sleep through the night no problem

yea my OB recommended it for both of my pregnancies and i didn’t take it with my first but i am now. i got the good and gather brand from target for like $6 and i’ve definitely noticed a difference since i’ve started taking it. i would check how many mg the one you got has, the one i take is 200 mg per serving but its too much for me so i take 100 mg instead

I get it! This is my second as well and I feel like my pregnancy pillow isn't supportive enough at all I wake up every day in tons of pain. Didn't have this issue with my first.
We're almost there! 💪🏻

I was confused… looks like something I needed to post. I definitely stand by everything you said. The sleep is so horrible. When I wake up In the middle of the night I pray it’s time to get up for work.
