I go back to work in November 2026 and my boss said before I return back to work I need to sort some sort of child care out. I don’t really know Redditch that well is there any nursery’s that would take a 8 month baby ?

Bromsgrove have decent nurseries as well which aren’t far

Unfortunately most private nurseries are fully booked now. X

If you can hold off an extra month until they are 9 months I believe you may get 30 hours free. Most nursery’s take babies. Just check their ofsted reports first to make sure it’s a good nursery.

If your little one will be 8 months in November, then presume they’ll be 9 months in the December and therefore qualify for the free nursery hours from next January (depending on your working hours, etc.)
Different nurseries seem to handle the free hours differently (certain hours, minimum days required, etc.), so it’s worth visiting a few to see what works best for what you want.
It’s good to find one that works for where you live/work too.
For us, we live in Redditch but work in south Birmingham so Alvechurch worked well for us as a middle point, and the nursery only needed 3 days minimum to benefit from the full 30 free hours (stretched to full time).

Hands down the best one in redditch is Rhymes nursery. We live in Bromsgrove and happily travelled to Redditch for this nursery

Highly recommend little men and misses in winyates
My little girls been there since she was 2 x before that we lived in Bromsgrove so she was in one over there x
