Are there boobie shaped bottles that don't cost 30 bucks a bottle. I'm pregnant with baby girl number 2 and want to breast and bottle feed since I'm still in college and working but I don't want her to get overly used to a bottle and also breast fed but the most boob like bottles I'm seeing are like $30 a bottle.
Any suggestions on a good but affordable boob bottle?

Hi Taya - the best bottles for combi-fed babies to make sure the latch is not compromised, are bottles with a teat that is not wide and rigid - which is what boob-shaped bottles are. Boob-shaped bottles are marketing & actually can compromise the latch (I fell for them and thank god for my IBCLC). When the breast gets into the mouth, it gets compressed (because it's soft) by the baby's tongue - the same needs to happen via a bottle teat if you want similar result, not to compromise the latch & to help the physical development of baby's mouth (the palate etc are all affected by breatfeeding and bottles), then I recommend Mam or Lansinoh bottles. Lansinoh ones are usually voted the best, the teat gets squished similarly to boob. Some resources from IBCLCs here for you https://www.carolsmyth.co.uk/breastfeeding-resources/posts/2015/april/it-hurts-moving-towards-comfortable-breastfeeding/ & https://www.carolsmyth.co.uk/breastfeeding-resources/posts/2015/june/protecting-breastfeeding-while-offering-bottles/

Lansinoh are good, but I think these are the best, slow flow and the base of the nipple resembles a breast shape the most, IMO.

I use dr browns wide nipple bottles, my babies took them better than the narrow nipple bottles

I use the boon bottles. I love them! I ordered mine off of amazon but I see them at Walmart a lot. They’re really easy to clean and since the body is silicone and shrinks as baby drinks it helped my son with reflux and gas.
