Hi everyone! I’ve had the implant for 6 years, I got it removed a month ago due to me and my partner being ready to start a family. Just wondering if anyone knows how quickly it can take to conceive or for your cycles to return to normal. Thankyou in advance❤️

Hey! Had the implant on and off (mainly on) for 13 years and from what I’ve learnt everyone is different. A friend of mine it took 6 months for them to get pregnant, another it took 9 months. For me, I got my implant out Jan 8th 2025, my periods came back the next cycle and it was a 13 day bleed. They became short cycles, gradually became normal and then became long. I’m still not pregnant, YET.
I went on the implant at 13, with no investigation into why my periods were long and heavy. Stop rather that fix. So coming off it now my body is trying to figure it tf out! So my advice to you is keep kind to yourself, get the flo app and track you periods, minimise any pressure and try to not compare your body to others! You can always keep in touch with your gp and they can do hormone panel tests but give it a little time. You could get pregnant within a week!

i’ve had it since 17, i’m 32. took it out from ‘21-22 for my daughter then out ‘25. both times i conceived before my first cycle off (unfortunately lost both) but conceived again on the first next cycle! aside from that, my cycle went back to pre-implant cycle x

I conceived after 8 months roughly, also had for 6 years. good luck mama x
