My lg still has a nap 2-3pm everyday, which we can't make earlier as she refuses point blank to sleep at nursery, and she doesn't get back until 1:30pm. She would happily sleep until 4pm if we let her, but we purposely keep it to an hour to help with bedtime. We are finding though that she's gone from going to sleep at 7:30pm - 7:30am, to still fighting sleep at 8:30pm and waking around 6am. I'm wondering if we need to cut out the daytime nap completely? But worry she'd be so cranky by evening if I did this, and my partner works nights, so I'd have to put up with this on my own, plus I have an 8 week old baby who gets very fussy in the evening, so I don't want to put myself in an awful position

We trialled a phase of no naps and my god the tantrums were unbearable, some days he’s completely fine but overall he was just overtired and miserable. We still try and if he doesn’t then we start bedtime at 7. If he does then he usually goes down late but we cap it at 3 so we can still start bedtime around 730, depending on his mood, sometimes we’re lucky and can still go for 7. My partner works late shifts so it’s just me with our newborn too so an easy bedtime is what we need!
