Looking for some advice. Does this sound like clog ducts to you? The pain feels kind of like pins and needles and extremely painful. I had one a few days ago, went away, and today woke up with both sides feel engorged/heavy and then when I go to pump and latch baby it was excruciating. I ended up using a Manual pump and the pain was bad but eventually went down a lot. There was a lump on that side and now that the pain is gone I’m not feeling the lump but still feel engorged. The other side doesn’t have a lump but I feel the pins and needles occasionally while pumping just now. There is no redness and no fever. Does this sound like clogged ducts? Any advice? I mostly pump and try to empty breasts but I could pump over 20 minutes and milk will still trickle out. I ordered sunflower lecithin, massages, and have been taking ibuprofen.

A clogged duct feels really tender to the touch and is painful when pumping. I’ve had a couple and it takes 3 days to resolve. I would massage my breasts in the shower, to get rid of the clog. Would also use a haaka with epsom salt after a pump. I was told that baby can suck out the clog, but I never did that. I recommend taking sunflower lecithin to prevent clogs. I only got clogs when I was not taking them.

Most likely. Make sure your massaging and even using a breast massager, take a hot shower or bath to soften them up and then pump after to get the clogged milk out. Sometimes if it was super bad I’d use cabbage leaves.
