Yes in own room for induction, labour (attempt) and then after surgery. Then up to postnatal ward in own room again. X

Yeah I had an emergency c section after being induced 2 weeks ago there. Considering my circumstances I had a really positive experience. The midwives doctors and nurses were all brilliant and made sure I was safe, knew what was happening and happy the whole time and also yes I had my own room. You’ll be absolutely fine ✨💞

Yes an elective 3 weeks ok

Bay of 3 of immeadiate recovery then moved to postnatal . I was moved quicker than usual as my dad died while i was in surgery. The team there are fanastic and couldnt rate it highly enough. Theres a reclining armchair type thing for the dads to sleep on to in the rooms :)

I had an elective c section back in July and had a very positive experience, the surgeon, anaesthetist and all the midwives and support staff were brilliant. They did everything they could to make it a positive and calm experience for us.
We went down at 9am and back in recovery by 10:10am and then to our own private room. We stayed for two nights.
The maternity support worker Karen Atkins is so so lovely! Look out for her 🙂

Baby scan

Had twelve week scan today, baby is due 3rd April. Baby was bouncing round none stop 🤣

Spontaneous birth

I'm sitting in maternity triage and feeling so upset. Ive had no high blood pressure throughout my pregnancy and now it's high and if there is also protein in my urine it's recommend I have a induction at 39 weeks.i had induction with my first birth and it's something I really did not want. I'm 38 weeks at the moment. Does anyone have any good induction stories or anything to recommend that will help me 😭

I’m 37 weeks today (it’s 1:28am) and I’m having reduced movement. I usually feel baby going crazy at this time but he’s not moving much or at all right now. he is usually active between 12-4am. do I wait a little longer or should I ring triage and go in??

everytime I’ve gone in for reduced movement, baby has been PERFECTLY fine. In fact he starts kicking the second i get there. I’m also having a perfect pregnancy, there is no health issues or complications. I feel like this is important information to add as it explains why I’m worrying but not toooo much. I’m sure everything is fine but what do you think?
Should I wait or go in?

Any recommendations/tips for c-section prep and recovery

Hi everyone, I'm a first time mum and currently 36+5.

Went for a growth scan the other day (first scan I've had since 20 weeks) and even though growth is fine I found out my baby is breech despite being told she's head down at every appointment since 28 weeks.

I've opted for a planned C-section as I didn't like the risks with the ECV and the doctor said it's unlikely she'll move herself since it's my first pregnancy.

I'm fine with the idea of changing my birth plan from a natural birth but I'm a bit late to the party of researching post partum stuff for a C-section and anything I should be doing to prepare before hand or things I need to take to the hospital that would be useful specifically for a C-section.

If anyone has any advice, I would very much appreciate it as this change of plan means I'm only 2 weeks away from meeting my baby which is quite scary and I'd planned post partum for a natural birth 😅

Hi everyone! 💕 I’m looking for some advice from anyone who has had an elective C-section.

I’m currently considering/going ahead with an elective C-section and would really love to hear about your experiences — what you found helpful to know beforehand, what recovery was like, and anything you wish you’d prepared or known in advance.

Also, if there’s anything you’d recommend packing for hospital or doing at home to make recovery a little easier, I’d really appreciate your tips!
