My little boy is turning one in a few days and I wouldn’t say he’s a great eater. Sometimes he will eat most of the food I’ve given him but will very rarely eat it all. For breakfast this morning, he had half a slice of toast and a few mouthfuls of scrambled egg. Lunch he literally took a couple of bites of a bagel and a few blueberries. For dinner he ate a few bits of red pesto pasta, some grated cheese and a bit of plum. Is this normal or should I double down on what’s being offered? I haven’t heard anything from the HV yet and will mention to her when she calls out but just thought I’d see if anyone else’s little one is the same in the meantime? With him being so close to one I just worry that he’s not getting enough food.

My little boy is 12.5 months and literally in the last 2 weeks he’s started demolishing food like it’s going out of fashion. Before that he had days where he literally wouldn’t eat a thing just had milk. I had this exact worry but it’ll come! We did stop offering on a separated plate and had more success jusy putting on his tray or offering in a bowl and do bits at a time but he literally eats everything now x

About a month ago my boy randomly one day just started eating everything. He literally stuffs it down so fast it’s unreal. You’d genuinely think I starved him with how he acts. Prior to this, he barely ate a thing. I really struggled because it was so hard to get him to eat stuff and I never had this issue with my first. Now he eats more than my 3 year old 😅 x
