First time momma!

I just had my first baby and needed a c-section, any tips on how to get up and moving without pushing it too far?

Truly just start slow and listen to your body. Everyone heals differently. Start with walks around the house/close to home and branch out from there. If anything hurts or your bleeding increases, rest and give yourself more time.

Congratulations! Definitely take it slow and listen to your body (and doctor)

Tying a sheet or a blanket something that you can pull yourself up on to the end of the bed so you don’t use your muscles to strain your belly and also getting like I don’t remember what those pillows are but they just sit behind you and they have like little arms I got one of those to sleep on because I didn’t want to lay totally flat cause it hurt so that also helped me

Oh also using a belly band helped a lot!

I got told to take it easy but also even if you think you are all recovered- still take it easy a little longer as that’s when issues can occur when you try to do too much once you think your ok x

Slow slow and slow, don’t push it too much. Them first few days are hard I’ve had two sections and I physically couldn’t move at all with the pain. Make sure you stay on top of pain meds also, I’m 7 weeks now and feel completely back to normal but still have to take the occasional paracetamol X

1) Drink LOTS of water, because a) it’ll get you up and down to the toilet which is great little bits of movement b) it helps flush things out after catheter etc c) helps prevent constipation which you do NOT want after a c section and d) general healing and breastfeeding is very dehydrating!

Take a pillow and hold it against your stomach it will help you with getting up

Heyyy momma congratulations!!!

Ima start with getting out of bed (if you have a recliner chair sleep in that for the first 2 weeks) laying in bed hurts too much and getting up takes too much .

Secondly if you didn't get your belly band from the hospital before leaving order you one. You can wear it for as long as your feel comfortable (i wore it for like 6 hours a day)

Try not to sit around. Be active but NOT TOO MUCH.

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
