We are hoping to potty train somewhere between 18m and 2 years. Those that potty trained at that age what did you find helpful? Any books you read with your kiddos? Certain activities ect?

The Oh Crap method is great.
Ms Rachel's potty training episode was on throughout to help him understand.
Carrypotty for outings. It made him want to go potty out and about. Even at home because it looks fun.

We started properly introducing the potty when my little girl was 15 months old. She was obsessed with it so we talked about it, she’d follow us to the toilet, we’d show what we’re doing. Some good book recommendations are „why do we need a potty” „no more nappies” „princess polly/pirate Pete potty” „hey Duggee potty badge”, we read them so so much. Around 17 months we were getting consistent pee on the potty in the morning and before bed. Sit them on the potty and give them a toothbrush so they can brush their teeth. We then started putting her on the potty at each big transition eg going for a nap, straight after a nap, after a meal etc. At 19 months she was going up to the gate at nursery where the potties are and asking to go. We fully trained after Christmas, took a week for her to start saying „pot pot” or „poop” and telling us she needs to go before she goes. We had minimal accidents, mainly just dribbles.
