Kennel cough vaccine for dogs
Our vet won't give our dog the kennel cough vaccine because we have a 7 month old at home.
Has anyone had this issue before? The vet told me to ring the doctors to get the ok off them about my little girl being around the vaccine but the doctor has never heard of this before... hah

I have a 7 month old and my dog got the KC vaccine just last week. Vet said as long as the dog doesn't lick baby's face for 48hrs, it's fine (she isn't allowed near his face anyway)
Following as we have a dog who's due to have her KC jab. We had no idea this was a thing.
It's because it's a live vaccine. Ours was due her kennel cough when I was about 8 months pregnant. Our vet advised to wait until she was 6-8 weeks old then to avoid licking etc for 24 hrs afterwards.
My dog had the KC vaccine just before Christmas when my little girl would have been 5 months..... It was never even mentioned..... X
You can also ask for the non live version of KC it does cost more but it is an option xx
