Hi! We are officially two months into this postpartum journey. Health and fitness has been a big part of my life. I love cardio and strength building but am open to other types of exercise. I walked a ton during pregnancy and now (weather dependent), I still try to go on walks. I want to start easing my way back into the gym again.
What are some things you did that helped? If you had a C-Section, what did/does your journey look like? Did you try any new types of exercises? I am a FTM so this is all new territory 🩵

Deep core exercises! I just got some from a physical therapist yesterday and seeing how far apart my abs had separated

This was my second c-section. Started doing short walks and made them a little longer each week until I hit 3 miles. Then I started running again, and, after I could run 5k without any issue, got back into the gym last week. Now back to my usual classes and routines.

10w pp I started on treadmill and walking the neighborhood around 5w pp doing 30 min now i keep the treadmill and added strength training 2-3x a week. Most important thing was listening to my body making sure that my reps was enough to feel like okay that's working but not enough to strain then gradually increased from there

I love this! We walk around the neighborhood or we’ll go to different parks. Listening to myself is also key and not overdoing it. Thanks for your pov!

Oh this is great! Thanks for your suggestion!

yes to the deep core exercises! 😅 *Adds to my list*
