Does anyone else have panic attacks after going out in public?

Just left Walmart with my husband and son, but the entire time I felt like a burden to my husband. That’s probably my mental health talking, but just wanted to check.

Yeah I feel you... with me being single now I'm going to have to force myself through it or get help somehow 😓

Funny thing is I just got home from Walmart and felt like the most ugly fat pig that whole time. It's so hot out and barely anything fits. Idk maybe it's just in our head.

I do especially since I’m mostly SAHM now, I’m not as used to going in public as I used to be! I literally pray for the strength to get through being out there 😅 so you’re certainly not alone!!

I have dreams of people trying to take my baby all the time. A couple years ago as I was walking up to my house one night a guy that was high as a kite came up with a machete threatening my hubby and I because he was so paranoid he thought we were walking around his house. I'd never seen him before and he was staying at his moms a few houses down and because we came home late we were the first people he saw and it was literally like a horror movie. We had to hop back in the car and he swung at me. Now that I'm a mom I keep dreaming strangers will come and try to harm or take my baby and I'm always fighting them off. The rage and anger that I feel in the dreams is surreal and it has made it hard to fall back asleep at times. I haven't taken him out of the house except for doctor appointments and going to see family. Now that spring is coming I feel like it's safe to take him out and he won't get sick, but any outings might wait til he's like 6 months.

I also feel like all the videos online of things happening to kids doesn't help, so I try to avoid them.

Omg I was drowning. I’m glad to know I’m not alone. As a SAHM, it’s a totally different experience than being a working mom and I think I’m having trouble with that part too. I just feel so exposed. My husband is so stellar, I feel like I need to be perfect in order to feel whole. That’s certainly in my head. 😵‍💫😵‍💫

I know exactly how you feel every time I go out with my mom or fiancé and the baby cries I feel so embarrassed and I feel like everyone is staring at me. Even though she is the best taken care of baby I know I’m still terrified that I’m gonna take her out one day and she’s gonna get taken away cause she so much as cried and I know I’m being paranoid but that fear is still very much real

First and foremost, I would just like to say if you need anyone to talk to please feel free to reach out. The best thing that helped me through my anxiety was knowing that I wasn’t alone.

It’s completely normal to feel like a burden, but just know that you are not.

The thing that I do with my sister to help with her more extreme panic attacks is slowly found backwards from ten and then lost off a few things around you. An example of this would be “yellow pineapple, green sign, white floors, etc”. It helps calm your mind down and to think slower. Usually during panic attacks, your mind is racing on certain thoughts and is having a hard time slowing down which leads to the attack happening.

You are doing great, just take one step at a time and don’t push yourself. ❤️
