How well do you think your hospital did staff-wise. Did they provide you with plenty of necessary products to get you through all the bleeding and discomfort. How about baby items? Did they provide care for your newborn for overnights if you were just too exhausted? I wanna know what hospital (if you’re comfortable sharing) and how they did on a scale of 1-10 (10 being exceptionally well). I give mine a 9 and I’ll explain more in the comments.

I had my little girl at fort sanders in Knoxville. The staff were exceptional! I got admitted on a Thursday, got induced at 10:45pm on Sunday and had her Monday morning at 6am. I told them my birth plan and everything went sooo good. They waited on me hand and foot. My boyfriend said that when I actually pushed our baby out, that there was blood and fluids everywhere, but I never even had the chance to see it because they were on it! My water broke in the doctor’s face and then when she took my catheter out I peed all over her and she never made me feel bad. Wouldn’t even let me say sorry. I will have all of my babies at Fort sanders. The only thing that I didn’t like was the fact that they weren’t very clear on things. I got diagnosed with Cholestasis and they tested me for preeclampsia as well, the doctor ended up saying, you have cholestasis and “I’m worried you have preeclampsia or gestational hypertension” but I never heard anything else about it. All in all it was an 9/10!!

Reston hospital in Virginia. Amazing experience with my first son and this time around. I'd give them a 9.5. With this baby by the time I got there my contractions were about 2 min apart and I was fully dilated and baby was coming very soon. They wheeled me to the labor and delivery area and wasted no time. I wanted the epidural like I'd had with my first born but it was too late for me to get it and they were kind and empathetic when they were telling me this😭 They asked my permission before having a male student come in to watch. They included my partner in the process. After delivery every nurse was super kind and attentive. I was helped to the bathroom and wiped down, they made sure I had plenty of water and that we had our meals. And in my to go bag for home they gave so much stuff including baby formula just in case. Everything was great! Will have my future babies there as well.

Got to the hospital on Sunday at 5 cm dialed the first person to check cervix said I was 2 cm (which I was 3 on the Thursday prior) voiced my concern) next person checked and said I was at 5cm and I was being admitted. 2 hours later I had them check again and I was still 5cm and she said she didnt feel his head. Did a quick ultrasound and found out he became feet first. The person that originally said I was only a 2 decided I needed and emergency c-section that she was performing. I was terrified. During the c-section the person that did the spinal ended up putting me to sleep without telling me so I missed out on his first cry and bonding time. Woke up in post op terrified and alone started freaking out when a nurse came in and told me my baby was okay. After another 30 minutes I was taken to my room and baby wasn't there until about 10 minutes later. My time was so bad I ended up kicking 2 people off my care team as they were very ignorant. No help from staff with baby
