Chat GPT reminder

Just a reminder that AI is not infallible and cannot always be trusted to give you answers. It can be wrong. Never trust AI over your own intuition in what could be a medical emergency.

Ok this is way lower stakes but ChatGPT makes mistakes…. Constantly.

Upload a document with dates and events. Ask it to recount all the dates when x event happened. It’s gunna maybe list 8/10 of them and it might invent new dates where the event never actually happened.

Or I use it to help with math. Yeah sometimes it’s right and sometimes it’s… wrong… or with computer science!! I might write code and ask if it’ll work, it says yes, run the code. Nope. Doesn’t work for xyz reasons.

ChatGPT can be useful, but you have to understand enough about what you’re asking in order to use it properly. I get so worried about students using it because it can be leading them down incorrect paths

I worry for the world where we genuinely use AI in a medical emergency though. Don’t be typing on your phone! Call for help, get an actual medical professionals advice and trust your instincts!
I use it to ask things like “which names go together the best”
Or “help me with a recipe”
Or “work out my take budget based on x y and z”
It’s scary that people use it for more than that

I absolutely love AI for so many reasons, but you got to be smart about it. It doesn't have all the answers and it is a machine program, so you need to actually read everything it says rather than just copy and paste or believing every little detail it spits out. That being said, it has helped me with travel plans, with lesson plans for homeschooling my son, for ideas on many things... but it's a tool meant to assist you, not meant to solve all your problems.

The only thing I use it for is to give recipe suggestions based on ingredients and cooking tools I have and to organize to-do lists. I don't use it for anything else.

There was a episode recently on the show 911 the 911 brought in AI to help and the AI ended up telling a caller to basically strangle themselves

Thanks to everyone using ai, at some point you will have to explain to your kids that you are part of the reason why they don't have water to drink let alone to keep themselves clean.

I personally think AI is a parasite 🤷

Also another good reminder, Ai literally just takes info from online, books, whatever info the programmers give it etc. Anything ai tells you could easily be found with a Google search not involving ai, or in a book. And half the time ai isnt even right. We don't have to use ai people are just getting lazy.
You can regular Google a recipe for your ingredients. You can think about how to write out an email yourself, or find a simple template to help you.
I think the most frustrating part about people using ai and ngaf is the fact that open ai has already shown us that pedophiles can and are making cp with it. Thats the biggest reason we shouldn't be using it. I think with work and improvements ai could be great to assist in medical field or science, but ai should not be open to the public. The public has already shown it is not capable of using it safely.

Baby doll

Anyone get their son a baby doll? Did they love it?
Thinking of getting mine one for christmas as he's gravitated towards one a couple of times at a toddler group. For context my son will be 18 months, nearly 19 months at Christmas.

I'm really worried nursery will stop trying. But she just will not settle down at all all of a sudden. Help please. It's way too early for her to drop the nap!

CMPA? (Photo)

My baby is really congested overnight. She’s always congested - but particularly more snorty after a bottle of Kendamil. She’s primarily breast fed with one bottle of formula a day in the afternoon. Her poops are also explosive and look like this. Does this look like CMPA, so sorry for the photo! Two first poops from two different mornings. Will add the second to the comments.

Travelling with a 1 year old

Can I put a car seat in the front passenger seat for travelling with my baby?! He hates the car and just cries if he’s in the back by himself. I have family 4 hours drive away and I have to do the travel alone most of the time. It’s so stressful and exhausting trying to entertain him and I can’t just let him cry. How do you travel with a baby who hates the car? 😩

Sleepless nights due baby nonstop crying on and off for over 2/3 hours

I’m literally at breaking point, with my baby, his 3 week old and there’s some nights where he will do a screaming party in the early hours of the morning and it’s nonstop crying and I feel like a awful mum for it, I try everything to settle him and he not having none of it, and when I got my son checked at hospital because I was so worried they said he was healthy which is good news that he healthy just feel deflated and hopeless mum, and it’s destroying my mental health, at the minute.
I don’t remember my oldest boy being anything like this, I remember doing feeds and he’d stay up but not the screaming constantly.
