Sweep followed shortly by regular pain

I had a sweep this afternoon around 4pm. I was 2cm dilated and over the last hour I’ve had regular really strong cramping and tightening, every 5-6mins for 40-50seconds. Is it possible it’s labor?

Could definitely be! I had a sweep with my first on the Monday evening that gave me period like pain and then hours after I started getting regular but mild contractions. After a while it turned more intense and my daughter was born on the Wednesday morning! Hopefully this is it for you!
